Mindfulness on Too Many Balls in the Air
You have so many balls in the air- you’re overwhelmed as you toss in another ball-but demands keep coming in and you have no way of filtering or deciding which balls to juggle.
Worry and stress are part of your daily life now because you have so many things to do and so many places to be. Keeping those balls up is tough work but you’ll keep doing it even if it means you are pulling your hair out, you are stressed, you are tight and you are sick.
I give you permission right now to set the balls down for a while.
I give you permission to take a walk and reprioritize and get clear about what would bring you joy in your life.
Leave the ones behind that you know longer need.
You don’t need to do everything, be everything and control everything in your life.
What balls would you like to juggle? What would be fun? What will be productive?
What would make you happy as you are holding them? Tossing them? Playing with them?
What would add more energy to your life? More exuberance? More connection? More play?
If the old balls aren’t working let’s find some new ones. Let’s get creative. Let’s connect with your heart, your mind, and your spirit and get ready to juggle only that which would bring you joy.
Take a moment as you come out of this meditation to connect with yourself. Jot down your ideas. Reprioritize so that you can experience ease and joy and play as you juggle. Juggling was meant to be fun and challenging in a good way.
So smiling with delight move forward in a way that is best for you.
